The Arboretum is the new Austin...located in Northwest Austin where some joke the atmosphere is more like Dallas than funky, laid back old Austin. It is an area of the city that has some of the top retail names in the country, easy access to the area's top high tech employers, a wealth of Austin restaurants and nightspots. It is also a favorite location for corporate rentals for families relocating to Austin. The Domain is starting to be competition for stores in the Arboretum since it is relatively close to the Arboretum.
