The Wells Branch neighborhood may seem quiet now, though that might not be the case in the future. Currently, the neighborhood and surrounding area is largely residential with some nearby chain restaurants and a local library. The two upcoming events that may reshape this community are the planned light rail system and the development of the new Domain shopping area.

Wells Branch is the street that connects IH35 to MoPac, which is in the process of being extended. This street is North of Parmer and provides easy access to those commuting to Dell. If you continue to head West on Wells Branch Parkway, you will pass Mopac and find yourself on Howard Lane. The starter line of the light rail is expected to start in the Howard Lane area just West of Mopac and run South to downtown.
